Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution That's Transforming Education by Ken Robinson, PH.D and Lou Aronica

So, I was going to write a review about this book on Great Books Worth Reading when I was done reading this book. However, after reading the first page of the introduction, I decided I wanted a place to keep my notes. I'll still write a review when I am done.

I thought I'd share my notes with you as I read the book. My commentary are in italics :-)

Introduction:

Standards based learning driven by political and commercial interests are harming our schools and students.

Yes! Thank you!

Schools and teachers need to create personalized, compassionate, and community-oriented educational experiences.

I hope he gives ideas on how we can provide a creative classroom while teaching in a standards based learning environment and not just why we need to push for a change for a creative learning environment.
